About

I’ve been teaching in Title I schools for ten years.  I have always supported accountability measures while advocating for the wellness and highest good to young people.  I believe we have reached a point in public education where those two aims are at greater and greater odds, and something must be done.  We can no longer rely on standardized assessment–it’s not serving kids, it’s not improving our standing globally in terms of educational attainment, it’s not fiscally responsible, and it’s not an accurate measure of school (or teacher) efficacy.
